At this point, travelling to Pattaya has become rather a regular habit. Since the restrictions of Covid started to ease in 2022 I’ve managed to get there twice a year meaning I’ve been there 6 times in the last 3 years. Good numbers, though sadly I think this year (2026) may see an end to that run with the crisis in the Gulf and the rapidly increased costs of living and travel expenses. Wish me luck, but it’s not looking promising at the moment!
Pattaya has been super fun with it being very easy to travel to, an abundance of accommodation for a fair price, all the entertainment you could need on your doorstep, a sunset facing beach and a destination which is easy to arrange photoshoots in. Let’s be honest, the city has a bad rep (and I can understand why) but it’s also a place of great fun and has a lot going for it.
I’ve never had a poor trip and the first visit of 2024 was no different. It began with a few days in Bangkok where I shot with Niki Meow (I’ll share those photos in the next post!) and then the bulk of the stay down in Pattaya (where I shot with Alisa Eve again).
In between those shoots, exploring coffee shops, eating Thai food at any opportunity and some rather wild nights out I did a bit of shooting around the city. I’m no street photographer (yet) but this is me practicing at getting my eye in. If nothing else, I hope it comes together as a half decent holiday snap album!
