A moment of reflection

A moment of reflection

We took this one day just North of Manly. When I first arrived at the hostel I met a friendly girl called Kerry from the North of England. I didn’t know her well, but one morning we spent a few hours whilst I tried to help her fix some problems with her iPod. I liked her. She moved on shortly with the friends she’d made whilst there to continue travelling up the coast. A couple of months later, when I was preparing to head North the sad news came through that Kerry had been killed in a car crash in the Northern Territory. I was upset, I had liked her, but for my friend Ed the news was devastating. He’d been there a few weeks prior to me and had been very close to her. This photo was taken when we headed out for a walk … he needed a distraction and his head clearing. This was all I could think of to help. RIP Kerry. I barely knew you, yet I still can’t forget you – that’s some impact.
