Although I have only a few posts more from 2018 to write, I thought I’d take a break from the model shoots and share something different that’s a little more recent.
At the time of writing we’re just reaching the end of a long winter. We’ve managed to avoid the snow this year, but there’s been some exceptional rain and it’s about the wettest I can remember for a long time. Today though as I walked through Exeter to the gym I felt a warmth in the sun and the sight of a tree starting to blossom made me realise spring is only around the corner.
One of my favourite things since I moved to Exeter is to spend long summer days and evenings on the cycle trails to either Dawlish Warren or Exmouth. Having grown up on Dartmoor it still blows my mind that I can reach the beach in under an hour without having to get in the car!
These images are all from various trips through the early spring last year when I’d head out from home with just me, my bike and my camera in a rucksack.
I already can’t wait to break my bike out of hibernation again.
Yes, it’s been the wettest winter in a long time across the dam from you, too. I like winter, but not the rainy kind. Judging by the photos, it looks like spring has arrived, though. Beautiful images.
Ha ha these are actually from the spring a year ago. At the time of writing I was hoping that it would only be a matter of weeks before I could take some new ones. It does however now look like I’ll be confined to my house for most of spring this year 😦
