The final shoot of my last visit to Thailand in 2019 was with Fernie Warisa and so it seemed fitting that on my return in a world post lockdown and travel restrictions that I should shoot with her first. I’d say it was poetic or fate, but actually I’ve only just realised that’s the case as I’ve sat down to type this post out!
The last time out we shot in Pattaya and it was a mixture of street and lingerie. Some of those photos have been amongst my most popular and it’s fair to say that Fernie’s career exploded through Covid with her becoming a bit of a star and even making the English papers.
The great thing about Fernie though is she’s so kind and down to Earth. That made it easy to keep in touch with her and she kindly agreed to shoot with me once again.
This time we decided to keep it all at the hotel, a really nice one I’d booked in Nana. I had hoped we’d get to use the pool too, but the weather put an end to that plan. Nevertheless we had a large room with a huge window overlooking the city below that flooded the space with light.
In less than a couple of hours we’d managed to shoot all I could want and it’s a testament to Fernie’s talent and versatility we covered so much. Afterwards we headed out for a coffee and a trip to Korea town for a Korean barbecue – Fernie’s favourite and something I’d never tried before – delicious!
This was such a fantastic start to the trip and I had the best time. A huge thanks to Fernie … and I hope you like the photos!
